Birds Unlimited's Products
and Services in Webster, NY
Discover Birds Unlimited’s products and services in Webster, NY, and the surrounding areas. We’ve got stuff—actually, a whole lot of it. From bird cages and toys to boarding, grooming, shipping, and expert care, Birds Unlimited is your local resource for happy, healthy feathered friends.

Products
We’ve got cages—and plenty of them. We regularly have 50–60 cages ready to go, manufactured by A&E, HQ, and Prevue Pet. They’re assembled and ready for your bird, so there’s no ordering, waiting, wondering whether it’s the right cage, worrying about shipping damage, or wrestling with confusing assembly instructions. Walk in, pick one out, and walk out with a cage that’s ready to use.
You’ll also find a dozen or more playpens and free-standing T-stands, plus a huge toy wall and racks that are replenished about every four to six weeks by Pet Terrific, Super Bird, Caitec, Bonka, and more.
For diets, we carry ABBA, ZuPreem, KayTee, Sun Seed, Lafeber, Harrison’s, Roudybush, Pretty Bird, Higgins, and Caitec. New inventory arrives weekly, and because we buy in bulk, many products can cost less here than purchasing directly from the manufacturer.
Have something specific in mind? Tell us! Online products can look fantastic in a photo and turn out to be a different story once they arrive. We don’t carry many items because of poor quality, workmanship, or manufacturers that won’t stand behind their products—especially cages. If you don’t see something, just ask. It might be here, or there may be a very good reason we don’t carry it.
Services
Shipping
See something you need and know we have it? We can ship it to you. We ship about four days a week through the U.S. Post Office Priority Mail, and your package will usually arrive within two days. Call us at (585) 288-4457 instead of Amazon.
Shipping birds is possible, although we’d prefer not to. If you’re located a significant distance away, however, arrangements can be made.
DoorDash
Don’t feel like heading out in the crappy winter weather? Let someone else make the trip! We offer DoorDash. Visit DoorDash.com, search for Birds Unlimited, place your order, and they’ll deliver it. Easy peasy.
Boarding
Going on vacation? Heading out on business? Need your birds out of the house while the floors are being refinished? We’ve got you covered with a little birdie bed-and-breakfast.
Your bird’s cage will be thoroughly cleaned every day, your bird will be fed twice daily, and we’ll check on everyone throughout the day. Space is limited, and holidays and school breaks regularly fill, so plan if you think you’ll need boarding.
You’ll need to bring your bird’s cage; a smaller cage works nicely for shorter visits. Bring the cage cover if you’d like your bird covered. And if “Buddy” requires cocktail weenies at 2 o’clock, bring those too! We’ll provide the regular food and treats.
For everyone’s safety, all birds must have a negative psittacosis test before boarding. We have night lights, a security system, smoke detectors, and I’m here every day—including Sundays and holidays. So, while you’re basking in the sun or opening Christmas presents somewhere else, I’ll be here keeping an eye on your pet.
I’ve worked with large birds for more than 45 years and have boarded birds for nearly 30. We bring more experience to bird boarding than anywhere in town. Peace of mind while you’re away? We’ve got you covered.
Grooming
We do a lot of grooming—2,500–3,000 birds every year! We can trim feathers, clip toenails, shape and trim a beak when needed, and help with dry feet, too. The price depends on the size of the bird.
Grooming is by appointment only, usually on Saturdays, although we try to make one weeknight available as well. Don’t trust your bird’s wings to someone unfamiliar with proper clipping—we do thousands every year. Plan because appointments are regularly booked 2–4 weeks in advance. Call 288-4457 to schedule.
Sexing
Not sure whether you have a Charlie or a Charlene? We can help with that, too. Sexing generally takes about a week for results. An appointment is required, and the cost is $40.00.
Knowledgeable Staff
Our staff has completed courses through The American Federation of Aviculture. I have 52+ years of experience handling, breeding, and understanding the behavior of large parrots. I’ve traveled, lectured, and written extensively about birds, including appearances and work involving television and radio.
When it comes to bird knowledge and experience, no one around Rochester comes close to what this staff knows.
Toys
Hundreds of them. Seriously.
We’ve got a 46-foot wall of toys with options for everyone from tiny budgies to destructive Macaws and Cockatoos. Some toys are absolutely huge, and you won’t find a better selection anywhere in Western or Central New York.
Our selection includes toys from FunMax, Bonka, Grahams, The Leather Elves, Jungle Toys, A&E, and Paradise. We also carry playpens and Java wood T-stands, with a dozen or more options available.
There are lots of toys—and we mean lots—including 5/1, 5/3, new arrivals, and old favorites. The wall is full again. We’ve got a lot of freakin’ toys here.
About every six weeks or so, another large toy order arrives, keeping the selection fresh and giving your bird plenty of new ways to play, chew, climb, and cause delightful chaos.
Looking for a free-standing play stand? We’ve got a great selection of Java stands in many sizes, along with tabletop options. Nice stuff.
Fresh Toy Shipments
A new shipment of toys arrived on 5/1/26 and 5/3. Come check out what’s new, rediscover some old favorites, and find something your feathered friend will love.
